With the odds squarely against him U.S based rapper Fat Joe came out gunning at Fully Loaded on Sunday and when the show came to an end Joe was among the best performers of the night.
Decked in a red and white Polo shirt the New York veteran took the stage at minutes pass 2AM when the James Bond Beach crowd was eagerly anticipating some excitement and Joe delivered. Opening with a number of his more female friendly tracks like “What’s Luv” and “I Wont Tell” Joe took his time and tried to connect with the crowd but the response he was looking for didn’t come until he introduced his biggest record to date.
10 minutes into his set Fat Joe signaled to his deejay who then reeled off the classic hit single “Lean Back” which had 5-7 thousands strong Fully Loaded crowd doing the rock away. After that high energy moment Joe spoke to the crowd saying “I heard some people saying Fat Joe should retired, but they probably never heard this thing right hear” which introduced his next big song “Make It Rain” which kept patrons moving to the signature Scott Storch beat.
Fat Joe closed out his set performing a number of tracks for his long time friend and role model Big Pun before heading backstage for interviews and photo shots with his fans.
