shyne1 Updated: Shyne deported today, may move to Jamaica to record next albumAccording to various media reports, Shyne is scheduled to be deported back to Belize today.

The immigration status of rapper Shyne (real name Jamal Barrow) has been under review since earlier this month. The rapper was scheduled to be released on October 6th but due to him serving time as a non-citizen of America, Shyne faced having to be deported back to Belize – the country where the rapper was born but not raised.

Though Shyne will not be able to return to his rap career here in the states, it is being hinted that the rapper will continue to record while living in Belize. According to Miss Info, reports have revealed that Shyne may move to Jamaica to record his next album.

Shyne served 8 years behind bars for his involvement in a club shooting in December of 1999, which also involved music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs and then girlfriend Jennifer Lopez.

Diddy has yet to release a statement on the matter.
