Jah Cure was accused of owing a Tobago promoter $19,993 U.S. dollars.
The singer was detained for three hours on Saturday night after Justice Sebastien Ventour ordered the arrest and his detainment.
The artiste was in this country for a concert on the weekend.
Reports say he paid the equivalent of the monies owed in TT dollars $126,000.
He was then able to perform in the concert at Guaracara Park, Pointe-A-Pierre, later in the night.
Jah Cure, also known as Siccature Alcock, was arrested on the instructions of a High Court Marshal, around 7.30 pm at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Port-of-Spain.
Last month Rodney “Bounty Killer” Price was detained by customs officials last month when he landed at Piarco International Airport for a performance.
He was not allowed to enter the country.
