Veteran Dancehall producer, Cordel “Skatta” Burrell has officially severed ties with recent internet sensation, Clifton “Clif-Twang” Brown. The Magnum Kings & Queens judge was the official manager for “Clif-Twang” following his rise to stardom through his internet video, “Nobody Canna Cross It.”
Brown rose to prominence when the remix video of a TVJ interview he did at the Mavis Bank Bridge in June hit YouTube. The video, mixed by Kevin “DJ Powa” Hamilton featured Brown dropping several phrases; regularly coined within Jamaican culture since it’s debut such as “Nobody Canna Cross It,” & “The Bus Can Swim.” The video currently has over 1.6 million hits on YouTube & Brown has since become a focal point for a series of LIME ad campaigns, performed at Reggae Sumfest 2011 alongside Beenie Man & even did a video promoting the recent Smirnoff Dream Weekend series of parties in Negril.
