Controversial Dancehall superstar, Adidja “Vybz Kartel” Palmer has formally been slapped with a murder charge following a meeting between law enforcement officials and Kartel’s lawyers .

Investigators from the Major Investigation Taskforce (MIT) charged the self-professed “Worl’ Boss” on Monday evening on three different offences. The offences include murder, illegal possession of a firearm & conspiracy to murder.

According to reports, the charges stem from an alleged incident on July 11, 2011 when Palmer, along with a group of men, plotted to murder a St. Catherine based businessman/promoter.
