Internationally acclaimed Reggae singjay, Miguel Orlando Collins, more popularly known as Sizzla continues to get a hard time from gay rights groups who’ve long complained about his lyrics addressing homosexuality.
The prominent entertainer, who gave his first live performance since surviving a near-fatal motorcycle crash last summer, was due to appear at a stage show in Stockholm, Sweden on March 28. However, the event, due to take place at the Hornstull Strand has been cancelled after lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender activists and supporters condemned Sizzla’s anti-gay lyrics; protesting his appearance on the show’s bill.
Gay rights groups in Canada and England previously made similar protests regarding Sizzla’s music, which contains lyrics strongly opposing homosexual lifestyles.
