“To fulfill each need, some people get mislead” are just a few words from the track: Pressure, produced by Michael ‘Ibo’ Cooper. The music industry’s bar has been raised, as Stainless Mob is poised to take the music scene by storm. With a slew of songs under their belts, the group is already commanding the respect from the entertainment fraternity.
The quartet consists of versatile, energetic and diverse members:Kemar ‘Zeeno ‘McFarlane, Andre ‘Splinta’ Facey, Sean ‘Sinimax’ Maxam and Kedo ‘Baak’ Witter and while they appear to be a Dancehall group, they’ve thrown their hats into several genres of music, which include Rock, Reggae, R&B as well as soca.
When asked about the group’s versatility, manager, Adrian Campbell quickly noted: “Stainless Mob, is quite a versatile group, they are very talented, and also, they write for any genre, which is proposed to them.”
However, Stainless Mob’s development was born out of true friendship and mutual respect. The first members of the group were Zeeno and Splinta, who were students at Mona High School. As fate would have it, music brought the two friends together in competition as they had a “clash” to which neither of them has admitted defeat. Sinimax and Baak later joined the group which proved a musical odyssey for the quartet.
Older, wiser and ready to take on the music world, the five members of Stainless Mob are excited about what the future may bring. Nevertheless, the group has performed for a wide cross section of fans, at various stints island-wide, which received rave reviews.
With triumph comes tragedy, however, when one of the members of the quartet received news of his mother’s diagnosis of Lupus while his grandmother battled with cancer, prompting the four friends were propelled to strengthen their bond, and at the same time channeled their life experiences, while enlightening others through their music.
The talented yet disciplined group is set to release a mixtape, which boasts 10 tracks including Go, Pressure and Banana Way, which have proven a staple among others.
Lead singer, Zeeno had a few words for the fans: “Listen keenly to the music we write, and as long as you (the fans) continue to support us, and we continue to work with notable producers, we will become one of the giants in the music industry.”
“You can find us on Facebook as Stainless Mob.”
