Veteran Dancehall/Reggae singer, Anthony B is recovering in a Texas hospital today after he collapsed following a performance in Texas over the weekend.

Known for classics such as Raid The Barn and Tease Her, Anthony B was in Dallas for a stage show on Saturday but asked his fans, via Twitter, to pray for him that day as he was not feeling well. Once Anthony B completed his performance inside the Dallas-based nightclub, Anthony B collapsed backstage and was rushed to the Methodist Dallas Medical Center where he’s been receiving treatment to date. It remains unknown how long the artiste will be admitted for.

Though Anthony B continues to wait for a diagnosis, his publicist, Ronnie Tomlinson suspects that the entertainer collapsed as a result of exhaustion dehydration due to a very hectic touring schedule.

According to Tomlinson, Anthony B has been touring several continents in recent weeks as the deejay has been traveling to Europe, Africa, India, Africa and Australia with, limited breaks in between. Additionally, he was scheduled to return to Europe this week for a series of shows until mid-November, but due to his illness, the first two weeks of touring may be cancelled.

Anthony B has been busy promoting his new album, Freedom Fighter, which was released earlier this year.
