The Big and Sexy remix, which was officially unveiled last week comes just over a year after the original version was revealed. It was produced by Mark ‘Mark Hize’ Collinder and Konshens’ Subkonshus Music label and features a very up-tempo style fit for the party scene, combining Konshens’ brash style with Lil Jon’s ‘crunk’ vibe.
Konshens expressed his gratitude to Lil Jon for joining forces with him on the remix, stating in a press release, “I could not refuse the opportunity to have Lil Jon, the crunk king, featured on one of my tracks. The ‘Big and Sexy’ song already brought a vibe to the dance but with Lil Jon added it gives the song another fire.”
The duo will be promoting this remix in the coming weeks.
Lil Jon, who is known for producing hits such as Yeah by Usher and Damn by the Youngbloodz has collaborated with Jamaican artists in the past, teaming with Elephant Man as well as Busta Rhymes and the Ying Yang Twins on the remix of Get Low.
Recently returning to Jamaica following a tour of Europe, Konshens is set to headline a concert in Uganda alongside Alaine, which is sponsored by Pepsi. While in Uganda, he will be donating books and other school supplies he received, through his book drive, to students of the Kololo Senior Secondary School.
“I just want to say thanks to everyone in the US and Jamaica who donated to my book drive for the students of Kololo Senior Secondary in Uganda,” Konshens said. “I appreciate it, and I know the students will too.”
