Montreal’s Reggae artist, King Mee, popularly known for his songs Nuff People and Fren Me, among many others, collaborated with Jamaican artist, Majah Bless for a video set to hit the streets in time for Valentine’s Day.
Take Tyme with my Heart came about after King Mee watched the movie, Real Ghetto Youths, where Majah Bless was one of the lead roles. He then contacted the Jamaican star with a Riddim, composed by Dan Fiyah Beats of Fiyah Yard Productions. The artist loved the riddim and that is how the collaboration formed.
After sending the finished product to popular figures in the industry and receiving positive feedback, Majah Bless and King Mee made the decision to continue with releasing a music video with parts filmed in Jamaica and Montreal, Canada. The two decided that releasing the video Valentine’s Day would be their best bet, as it is a realistic love song about trust in a relationship in which everyone can relate to.
This is one of the many projects to look forward to from King Mee in 2014, with an album in the making, an E.P. to be released with his Fiyah Flamez Unit band and many singles getting prepared to release, the artist looks to have a promising year.
