…………………………………………………………………………………………….
Rolhensha 208x300 Artist Spotlight RolhenshaHer journey officially began in 2009 when she launched her first music video and single “Defend It”. Since then she performed for the Miss National Carnival Queen Pageant 2010 and at Moon Splash in Anguilla. According to the critics Rolensha is “Energetic”, “Creative” and “Confident”. Her electrifying performance is not to be missed!

On October 11th 1990, hidden deep within the exotic Caribbean on the twin island federation of St. Kitts & Nevis, Rolhensha T’ Keyah Henry, affectionately known as “Rolhy” was born. At the tender age of four Rolhy led a glittering troupe of preschoolers in a National Carnival parade through the capital streets of Basseterre which climaxed with her introducing the troupe to the massive crowd. The overwhelming response from the adoring crowd ignited her love for the performing arts and the rest is history.

Rolensha joined the Edgar T. Morris Primary School Choir at 3rd grade and currently leads the Youth Choir at her church. During her years at the Cayon high school she played the lead single tenor steel pan for the school’s official steel orchestra which later became the Pantastics Steel Orchestra. She was always remembered for her high energy and enthusiasm performing and winning three consecutive national steel band competitions with her group. Their dynamic performances earned them a spot on the 2008 St. Kitts Music Festival where they performed before a massive crowd.

Music is the fuel that drives her throughout her entire day from the shower, to the street to the stage. Rolhy uses any opportunity to sing to her family, friends, in church or to any passers by. Her capacity to perform is undeniable and her ability to construct her own lyrics and deliver them in such a unique way can be partly attributed to her background in debating. Since her High School years she often represented her school in effective speaking competitions and debates. During her second year at the C.F.B. College she was on the schools debating team and earned the coveted title of Best Overall Speaker for the entire competition scoring an impressive 193 point out of a possible 200.

Many of her inspirations have come from personal experiences and she often attributes her love for music to her love for performing. This young musician also looks up to great artistes like Bob Marley and Michael Jackson. She admires the way they were able to reach the hearts of so many people across so many geographical and sociological boundaries. Rolensha aspires to achieve no less than these icons have and she is ready to make her mark and overcome any obstacle by seeing and embracing the silver lining.

Jamerican e1270649407335 New Artiste : Jamerican Never Can Say Goodbye

Urban Dictionaries definition of a Jamerican : “A conjunction of Jamaican American.  American distinction rooted in Jamaican pride and culture.  Born on the island of Jamaica but raised abroad with a strong Jamaican hand (literally).  Speaks regional English, without any accent and certainly speaks “patois” and may turn the dialect on and off depending on company and conversation.”

New artist Jamerican’s music embraces both the American and Jamaican lifestyle to forge a sound that can only be described as…well, Jamerican music.  Its a complex dichotomy of danchall, reggae singjay flows mashed together with pop R&B, rap, rock and pop accents.  This marriage takes the listener on a biopolar journey through each countries lifestyle.
Jamerican was born in Franklin Town Kingston Jamaica to a single 17 year old mother, where he spent the first 14 years of his life.  From Kingston to the streets of Waterford St Catherine, the streets were ladened with sound systems pumping hardcore dancehall, roots, ska and reggae dubs.  However it was his mothers side of the family who exposed him to international artist like Elvis, Jackson Five, Johnny Cash, The Beatles, James Brown, The Who, Temptations, Rolling Stones, Patsy Cline, The Pointer Sisters and a plethora of diverse artist that would shape Jamericans unique sound today.
After spending two years at Ardenne High School, Jamerican auditioned for the Youth Performing Arts High School in Louisville, Ky on a summer visit to his grandmother.  He was accepted on the spot, “that one little audition change my entire course in life” he laughs.  From there he was granted a full talent scholarship to WSU.  After 2 years he transfered to the California Institute of the Arts(CALARTS) on yet another full talent scholarship.  It was at Calarts free style sessions with various artist from across the globe that really sharpened his musical skills.  “The scene at Calarts was maaaaddd, you had cats that spit in japanese, spanish, all different kinda languages.  Then you had opera singers, bebop jazz, soul singers, rockers rappers, you name it we had it” he explained.   Thats where Jamerican developed his versatility as multi faceted artist.
After Calarts he resided in Miami where he made several trips to record with his high school and WSU bredren Jon Conver.  The two worked with numerous indie artist from the underground scene in NYC, Miami and Louisville.  The duo first recorded numerous tracks under “Off The Chain Productions” before Jamerican created his own Label Jamerican Productions in 09.  The upcoming album “The Jamerican Dream” will be Jamericans first official solo venture under the Jamerican Productions label.  “The Jamerican Dream” is appropriately titled as he is living proof of how one can rise from humble beginnings to attain success on their own terms.

‘Life Soon Sort Out’ by Famshouse recording artiste G Whizz speaks about the ghetto youths struggle in life and how they cope with it. The melodic rhythm provides a basis for the listener to hear and be entertained quite like in a sultry, almost acoustic template. The conscious lyrics help in sending across the point that although your situations are bad; possibilities exist that they could be worst and it helps to be optimistic about their situation through perseverance towards achieving goals of success and treating everyone with respect and equality.

Hailed as a rising star, the 25 year old singer, sogangsta whizz G WHIZZ LIFE SOON SORT OUTngwriter and composer diverse talent encapsulates Reggae, R&B & Dancehall displaying such versatility second to none. At this early stage in his career, his delivery and vocal style shows a depth of talent that legendary artiste Johnny “Mr. Buda-Bye” Osbourne commented, “He is ready”. Needless to say anymore, your own experience is the barometer to determine his true potential.

The Barrett brothers, John and Kevin form the nucleus of Fams House Studio and together with G-Whizz embarked on a musical project a little more than 3 years ago. What they have accomplished in this relatively short period of time is indicative they are following in the tracks of their famous dad, the great bass player and producer Aston “Family Man” Barrett of Bob Marley and the Wailers fame. G-Whizz has released 7 music videos including: “Those Days Are No More” on the Spiritual Warfare rhythm, “Ghetto Life”, “No More War”, “Hush”, “She’s Hot”, “Break Free”, & “Ease My Mind”, a collaboration with female artiste Minx. He has began to carve out his own niche in the dancehall with the over night success of 2008 ‘She Bad’ and ‘Its Gonna Be All Right’ is reassurance to the fans that he is not a ‘one hit wonder’.
