Popular Jamaican music selector, Foota Hype is counting his blessings after suffering a minor stroke Wednesday night.The entertainer posted an Instagram picture Thursday night in which he was in a wheelchair receiving an IV full of medications. He was treated at the University of the West Indies (UWI) Hospital in Kingston and is reportedly recovering well.
According to the selector in an interview with the Jamaica STAR, half of his face became numb, leading to him slurring his words and him becoming somewhat delirious.
On the aforementioned Instagram post, Foota said, “Dem say the truth is an offense and it’s true lastnight after mi a tell the ppl Dem bout the shape shifter dem and alien and demons weh a walk Di earth dem try off a mi, stroke beat mi bad but God have MI lock so unu gwaan pray fimi dem can’t shut mi up.”
He has also expressed his happiness to still be alive and thanks his family and friends for their support during this time.
