Hollow Body Riddim pulls all the right strings

Hollow Body RiddimBy definition, a hollow body is a type of semi-acoustic, electric guitar that promotes high volume and sound clarity. In creating a rhythm, whose name is based on this powerful type of instrument, Ted Ganung has ensured music lovers feel the full effectiveness of each of these qualities.

The Hollow Body Riddim, produced by Ted Dun Know Productions, is an ear-pleasing mix of electronic music and acoustic Reggae rolled up into a sound filled with clear, bass-pumping effects, making it a well-defined and rounded project. It features three artists who grace the rhythm with the combination of soul and hard-hitting lyrical content that is required for such a blend.

One such song is More Than Life by Lutan Fyah. In this effort, the acclaimed artist melodiously asks what could be more valuable than life; ensuring the important things in life are put in perspective while transitioning between soft and energetic flows.

Jah Defender burns out any Reptilian in his song on the rhythm, pointing out people consumed by the negative missions and conspiracies of mankind and exposing the flaws of humanity lyric by lyric.

Major Mackerel tells a very provoking story of fallen Reggae greats in Princes, Prophets and Priests, looking at the tragic deaths of the likes of Garnett Silk, Sugar Minott and many others, pointing out the cruelty of humanity and how it contributed, in some way, to the demise of these legends.

Trinidadian artist, Khari Kill also rhymes about the pressures of real life in Sirens, talking of the struggles of any ghetto youth living amongst hard times and struggles while police cars swirl on a regular basis.

The Hollow Body Riddim is available to check out on YouTube and Soundcloud; with this ‘body’ promising to have a positive effect on the mind and soul once you press play.

Nature’s Way Entertainment sends a message

Music is a part of our daily lives. We can’t imagine what life would be like without music, whether it is in the sounds of nature or commercial sounds, to some extent music influences our behavior, wherever we are and whatever we do.

Introducing Nature’s Way Entertainment Company, a new publishing, production and recording studio from out of St. Ann, Jamaica, who produces music that relates to real life situations that we find ourselves in, the kind of music that empowers the listener in a positive and uplifting manner.

Some of the hottest young artists of the moment along with established stars were selected to work on the newly released Hope Riddim compilation album featuring music from artists such as Alva, Zamunda, Mr. Melody, Whitney Wright, Thugsy Malone, Lutan Fyah, Spanner Banner, Richie Spice and the Hope Riddim that closes out the set of 10 tracks.

Producer, Garfield Cowan a/k/a Fada G, takes great pride in the lyrical contents of the songs chosen for the project, which all compliment the classical reggae vibes of the Hope Riddim that reflects Cowan’s deep rooted spirituality.

The genesis of Nature’s Way was the result of Fada G’s school mate/turned brother-in-law, Alva (Oliver Black), a burgeoning artiste with a number of singles released to his credit. He encouraged Fada G, whom he knew as a long time lover and collector of music, to record him and to start his own record label. Within a year, Nature’s Way was born and by the following year, Alva’s debut album, I’ve Got Life was released and is enjoying heavy rotation on radio in Jamaica, the U.S. and the U.K. Two videos have been produced for tracks from the album – St. Ann and a medley featuring Jah Keeps Me Safe And Sound and Jah We Pray To. They are currently airing on television and youtube. Meanwhile, Alva has been back in the studio recording new singles and performing on major shows in Jamaica such as the Kite Festival and GT Taylor Christmas Extravaganza.

Now, Nature’s Way’s sophomore project, the Hope Riddim, is moving forward; fulfilling the aspiration of the label’s objective with more quality roots, culture, reality and lovers’ music in traditional Reggae style. All releases are available physically as well as digitally on iTunes and other quality retailers, plus on their website at www.natureswayent.com the Hope Riddim is featured on the iTunes front page and getting remarkable response.

Check out this great music and more to come from Nature’s Way at your favorite store or online and you’ll naturally be doing fine.
