Sasha and Sampaloo

Dancehall entertainer, Sampaloo, receives an “Encore” in Montreal’s R&B/Pop scene

Sasha and SampalooMontreal, Canada’s Dancehall entertainer, Sampaloo, teamed up with 4 In The Morning’s R&B artist, Sasha for a collaboration on her hit record “Encore”.

While working on his new Dancehall hit with Darshan Records, based out of Atlanta, Georgia, the Dancehall entertainer took the chance to collaborate with an Urban Media Group, 4 in the Morning, who are based out of Montreal and L.A. The group has been making waves in Montreal for some time. The Montreal Dancehall king was honored when asked to collaborate on the record and after hearing Sasha’s track he knew it was time to make his mark on the R&B scene.

February 22, 2014, Sampaloo was invited back on the Monaie Money stage as a special guest with Sasha to promote the new single (Monaie Money is a platform that promotes the younger generation and their talents). He took the crowd by surprise, as he flew on stage dressed all in orange to lay out his part of the track.

4 in the Morning invited him back over the past weekend to finish off the final touches of the music video where 2010’s Dancehall queen, Sade Deroche, and Montreal’s video vixen, Ebo, costarred in his scene.

Sampaloo and his team take us outside of the box this year and are coming back strong while showcasing the artists’ versatility. He plans to make his mark in the broader urban scene here in Montreal, as his collaboration with Reggaeton group Efigy Sound is set to release before the summer.

Look out for the Encore video in the early spring.

Sampaloo Only Jah Know

Sampaloo releases official video for ‘Only Jah Know’

Sampaloo Only Jah KnowMontreal’s well received Dancehall entertainer,Sampaloo released his highly anticipated video for the Reggae single, Only Jah Know off of Tenament Yard Records, Sweet Dreams Riddim earlier today. The team has great expectations for the single as it portrays the developments in Sampaloo’s career that caused the Canadian-Jamaican entertainer to slow down his pace in 2013.

Management, Reeva Ann Proctor of Empowerment Media Group states, “2013 was an important milestone in Sampaloo’s career. With unforeseen circumstances including the passing of two family members, Sampaloo took a slower path to ensure he had quality Reggae singles to which people around the world could relate. Though his album “Immigration” didn’t get the chance to hit the market as of yet, it has given us time to reevaluate what songs we intend to put out on the album that truly represent him and his journey here in Canada.”

Sampaloo has been one of Canada’s top Dancehall artists since 2004 with the release of his debut single,Immigration and has since released mainly Dancehall tracks for various producers from Jamaica and around the world.

As Sampaloo continues to maintain his presence in the media, he is also actively involved in empowering his community. His fundraiser for the Philippines, though small turned out to be very successful. He again brings the Montreal and Canadian artists together in March where he officially announced on Facebook that his annual Welcome to Montreal event will be held at V-Lounge, Saturday, March 29th.
