Kartel, Shawn Storm maintain innocence in light of life sentence in murder conviction

Vybz Kartel 2014Incarcerated Dancehall superstar, Vybz Kartel and long-time protégé, Shawn Storm have spoken out for the first time since their convictions and subsequent life sentence on murder charges in the Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams murder charges.The two, along with Kahira Jones and Andre ‘Mad Suss’ St. John were sentenced Thursday, with Kartel not eligible for parole for the first 35 years of his sentence, while Shawn Storm will not be eligible until 25 years into his sentence. On Friday, the pair issued short, handwritten statements thanking fans for their undying support while continuing to maintain their innocence in spite of the convictions.

Kartel’s note said, “I would first like to again reiterate that I never killed Clive Williams nor did I order his killing. To my family I want to say thank you for being there for me. Equally to my fans whose unremitting support matters to me! Bless, Kartel.”

Shawn Storm offered similar sentiments to his supporters.

“To the fans and fams I am an innocent man and I am just saying I am good and in great health and spirit,” he said. “So from me to the fans and ma fams and my mother, daughter and family I am confident that in the long run I will be vindicated.”

Meanwhile, voice notes used as evidence against Kartel and his co-accused were released to Jamaican media on Friday, telling a damning tale of the events leading up to August 2011 murder of Williams. In said voice notes, which can be heard in their entirety here, Kartel continuously references the disappearance of ‘shoes,’ a code word for guns, according to testimony from the Crown’s main witness, Lamar Chow. An agitated Kartel can be heard threatening that if Chow or Williams did not find said ‘shoes’ by nightfall, one or both could face fatal consequences.

Additionally, the Police High Command issued a statement lauding the work done by law enforcement in the case while revealing the challenges encountered during the trial, detailing accusations of witness tampering, death threats, obeah ritualism and attempts to pervert the course of justice. Kartel, along with two others, faces an Aug. 11 court date, facing two conspiracy charges in relation to the Williams case.

Vybz Kartel to stand trial in murder cases this fall

Embattled Dancehall superstar, Vybz Kartel will finally have his day in court as the prominent deejay prepares to stand trial in both of his ongoing murder cases

The internationally acclaimed entertainer, whose real name is Adidja Palmer, will appear in court on October 29 where he will stand trial in relation to the shooting death of St. Catherine based promoter  Barrington ‘Bossie’ Burton. Vybz Kartel faces three allegations in that case, including murder, conspiracy to murder and illegal possession for a firearm. The co-accused in that matter are Nigel Thompson and Lenburgh McDonald.

A week later, on November 5, Kartel will answer to accusations in another case as he prepares to stand trial in relation to the murder of St. Catherine-based dancer, Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams.

Co-accused of murder in the Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams case include Shawn Campbell aka Shawn Storm, Calvin ‘Moonie Haye, Shawn Williams, Kahira Jones ad Andre St. John aka Mad Suss.

Kartel’s long-time protégé, Vanessa ‘Gaza Slim’ Saddler and studio engineer, Andre ‘Pim Pim’ Henry, face obstruction of justice-related charges in the Williams case as they’re each accused of conspiring to pervert the course of justice.

Vybz Kartel has been in police custody since last September, when he was arrested in a New Kingston hotel and charged with ganja possession. That charge has since been thrown out.

The self-professed ‘Worl’ Boss’ copped bail in the Barrington ‘Bossie’ Burton murder case this past March but could not capitalize on it due to the fact that he’s been remanded in the Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams matter.

Kartel’s lawyer, Valerie Neita-Robertson was expected to file a bail application in the Williams murder case but failed to do so after expressing dissatisfaction at the case being shifted to another judge.

However, Neita-Robertson hinted that she would apply for bail on behalf of her client sometime between the two trial dates.

Kartel remanded again, booked for June court date

Internationally acclaimed Dancehall superstar, Adidja Palmer, more popularly known as Vybz Kartel faces a longer wait regarding a decision on bail as he has been remanded once more in one of his murder cases.

Appearing in the Home Circuit Court on Friday, a bail application was expected to be made on the Portmore Empire deejay’s behalf in the Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams murder case. However, the application was delayed, forcing the judge to hand down a June 8 court date for Kartel as well as the co-accused in that matter: Shawn Campbell aka Shawn Storm, Kahira Jones, Shane Williams, Andre St. John and Calvin ‘Moonie’ Haye, who’s been on bail since January.

Each of the men stands accused of participating in the killing of Williams during an incident at a Havendale, St. Andrew residence last August.

Vybz Kartel’s ganja trial to begin next month

Internationally acclaimed Dancehall superstar, Adidja Palmer, more popularly known as Vybz Kartel will report to court next month for the beginning of his ganja trial.

The prominent deejay faces a May 22 court date in the matter, which will be resumed after a three month delay. The new trial date was scheduled earlier this week in the absence of Kartel, who was not brought to the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court on the day of the hearing.

Presiding resident magistrate, Maxine Ellis ruled that a writ must be issued for Kartel’s release from a Spanish Town based jail where he’s currently being kept in order to ensure that he makes the May court date.

Vybz Kartel remanded again, to return to court later this month

The same result has played out once again for prominent Dancehall superstar, Vybz Kartel in his ongoing murder case.

The incarcerated Portmore Empire leader was once again remanded when he appeared in the Supreme Court in Kingston on Friday in relation to the Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams murder trial. The Dancehall entertainer, who has been in custody since late September of last year, stands accused of murder, perverting the course of justice and conspiring to pervert the course of justice in the case.

Kartel’s Portmore Empire protégé, Shawn Storm as well as his designer, Calvin ‘Moonie’ Haye, Andre St. John, Kahira Jones and Shane Williams are also accused of murder in the Williams case.

All five men are expected to return to court on April 27.

Meanwhile, Justice Majorie Cole Smith has ordered the Crown to release electronic recordings implicating Kartel in the Williams murder case to the deejay’s defense team.

Kartel’s lawyer Valerie Neita-Robertson stated that she has not received a copy of the audio and video recordings from the prosecution, thus being unable to make a bail application on the artiste’s behalf.

Vybz Kartel and his co-accused are alleged to have participated in the beating death of Williams that took place at a residence in Havendale, St. Andrew last August.

Vybz Kartel hit with two new charges in murder case

Embattled Dancehall superstar, Adidja Palmer, more popularly known as Vybz Kartel, now faces two additional charges in one of his murder cases.

On Wednesday morning, the prominent entertainer was charged with conspiracy to pervert the course of justice and attempting to pervert the course of justice regarding the Clive “Lizard” Williams murder case. Kartel’s Portmore Empire protégé, Vanessa Saddler, otherwise known as Gaza Slim, also stands charged with the same offences.

Law enforcement officials insist that they possess a cellular phone containing a text message in which Vybz Kartel allegedly ordered Gaza Slim to concoct a robbery story in an attempt to aid his legal defense. On October 29, Gaza Slim issued a police report at the Constant Spring Police station; claiming that Williams, the man Kartel’s accused of killing, robbed and gun-butted her during an incident in Havendale, St. Andrew. The police report was filed five days after police charged Kartel in Williams’ murder.

Gaza Slim was formally charged with conspiracy to pervert the course of justice and attempting to pervert the course of justice on Friday and will remain in custody until at least December 19, her next scheduled court appearance. Additionally, Kartel’s expected to appear in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrates Court on that dat.

Kartel, Gaza Slim, fellow Portmore Empire member, Shawn Campbell aka Shawn Storm, Cayro Jones and Calvin Haye aka Moonie are jointly charged in the Williams case. Furthermore, reports indicate that a sixth person will face charges in the case.

Meanwhile, Kartel faces another court appearance later this month regarding his other murder case in which he and three other men allegedly shot and killed, Barrington “Bossie” Burton, a St. Catherine businessman/promoter this past July.

Vybz Kartel likely to face new charges in murder case this week, police claim

Embattled Dancehall superstar, Adidja Palmer, otherwise known as Vybz Kartel, will likely face new charges this week regarding one of his murder cases.

Kartel already faces a drug-related charge stemming from his initial arrest in September as well as charges of murder, conspiracy to murder and illegal possession of a firearm in relation to the July killing of St. Catherine based promoter, Barrington “Bossie” Burton. Additionally, the self-professed, “Worl’ Boss” stands accused of killing Clive “Lizard” Williams, a dancer from Waterford, St Catherine, this past August.

Now, the head of the Criminal Investigation Branch, Assistant Commissioner Ealan Powell intimates that Kartel will additional charges with regards to the Williams murder case. According to ACP Powell, charges of perverting the course of justice and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice will be issued against the internationally acclaimed deejay later this week.

 “Kartel will be charged soon, I can’t commit to say which day he will be charged, but he will definitely have an additional charge on which to seek bail,”  ACP Powell told one876entertainment.com on Monday.

Kartel’s Portmore Empire protégé, Gaza Slim stands accused of perverting the course of justice and conspiracy to pervert the court of justice  after police seized a cellular phone containing a text message where “Di Teacha” allegedly orders her to falsify a robbery. On October 29, Gaza Slim filed a police report at the Constant Spring Police Station, claiming she was robbed and gun-butted by the aforementioned Clive “Lizard” Williams. Gaza Slim filed the report five days after Kartel was charged in Williams’ murder.  

Kartel and the co-accused in the Williams case, fellow protégé, Shawn “Shawn Storm” Campbell, personal designer, Calvin “Moonie” Haye and Cayro Jones are scheduled for a court appearance later this month in the matter.

Gaza Slim charged in Kartel case

Portmore Empire singjay, Vanessa Saddler, more popularly known as Gaza Slim, has become the third member of the “Gaza” group to face a charge in relation to a case involving the group’s leader, Vybz Kartel.

Gaza Slim, otherwise known as Vanessa Bling, was formally charged on Friday morning with conspiracy to pervert the course of justice in relation to the Clive “Lizard” Williams murder investigation. This took place four days after the Empire singjay turned herself in to the Constant Spring Police after she was named a person of interest in the Kartel matter.

Gaza Slim’ predicament resulted from an alleged false police report that she filed on October 29; claiming that Williams, who Kartel and others stand accused of killing, robbed and gun-butted her in Havendale, St. Andrew.

Vybz Kartel made to wait on bail decision

Incarcerated Dancehall superstar, Adidja Palmer, more popularly known as Vybz Kartel, will have to wait a few more weeks before finding out if he’ll receive bail in his other murder case.

Kartel was granted bail in the sum of JA$3 million on Thursday in relation to the murder of St. Catherine-based businessman/promoter, Barrington “Bossie” Burton this past July. Despite the good news, Kartel could not post bail due to the fact his other murder case, where he’s accused of killing St. Catherine-based dancer, Clive “Lizard” Williams was still pending. A hearing took place on Friday at the Corporate Area Resident Magistrates Court where a bail application in the Williams matter would reportedly be presented.

However, during Friday’s hearing, it was revealed that no bail application for Vybz Kartel was made given that documents that should have been served to the deejay’s defense team weren’t made available.

Gaza Slim could face charges in Kartel case, may have lied to police

The Portmore Empire’s legal woes could mount once again as one of the group’s singjays, Gaza Slim, could stand accused of lying to police in one of Vybz Kartel’s murder cases.

Gaza Slim, whose real name is Vanessa Saddler, was named a person of interest by law enforcement officials on Thursday. She was asked to report to the Constant Spring Police by midday Friday for questioning following weeks on unsuccessful attempts to contact the singjay. It remains unknown if she has complied with their request.

Reportedly, Gaza Slim issued a report to police this past October, claiming that she was robbed and gun-butted by Clive “Lizard” Williams in Havendale, St. Andrew. Williams, a former dancer from Waterford, St. Catherine is one of the men Vybz Kartel stands accused of killing. The report was filed on October 29, five days after Kartel was charged for murder in the case.

On Friday, several reports emerged that police possess phone records indicating that Kartel and Gaza Slim tried to stage a false robbery in an attempt to aid the defense case for the self-proclaimed, “Worl’ Boss.”

Gaza Slim named a person of interest

Yet another Portmore Empire member has been named a person of interest since the group’s leader, Vybz Kartel was arrested this past September.

Vanessa Saddler, more popularly known as Gaza Slim was officially listed as a person of interest by law enforcement officials in Kingston. According to detectives from the Constant Spring Police, several attempts were made to get in contact with the Dancehall singjay but have yet to locate or hear back from her.

Gaza Slim was a subject of some controversy in relation to one of Vybz Kartel’s murder cases as news surfaced over a month ago that she filed a report with the St. Andrew North police.

Kartel granted bail but remains in jail

World-renowned Dancehall superstar, Adidja Palmer, more popularly known as Vybz Kartel, has been granted bail regarding to one of his murder charges.

According to the Jamaica Gleaner, The embattled entertainer was offered bail in the sum of JA$3 million by Supreme Court judge, Justice Bertram Morrison, in relation to the murder of St. Catherine businessman, Barrington “Bossie” Burton in July. This resulted from a successful bail application made in chambers by his defense lawyers, Tom Tavares-Finson and Chris Tavares-Finson.

As a condition of his bail, Kartel must report daily to the Constant Spring Police Station, where his cases were originally brought forward.

Vybz Kartel remanded once more, faces two new court dates

Embattled Dancehall superstar, Adidja Palmer, more popularly known as Vybz Kartel will have to wait until at least the week prior to Christmas for his next hearing.

Kartel, who faces two murder-related and one drug-related charge issued following his September 29 arrest, was remanded into police custody following a hearing in the Gun Court Division of the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court Wednesday morning. The presiding magistrate in the matter denied Kartel bail; ordering the Portmore Empire deejay to return to court on December 21 when documents pertaining to one of his murder cases will be served to his defense lawyers.

Additionally, Kartel was handed a February 3, 2012 court date where when a preliminary enquiry relating to the murder of St. Catherine based promoter, Barrington “Bossie” Burton will be given to Kartel defense team.

Kartel, along with two other men, is accused of shooting and killing Burton while he stood on Walker’s Lane in Gregory Park, St. Catherine this past July. Additionally, the self-dubbed “Worl’Boss” along with his road manager, Calvin “Moonie” Haye and Empire protégé’, Shawn Storm, face murder charges in relation to the killing of St. Catherin based dancer, Clive “Lizard” Williams in August.

Kartel also faces a ganja possession charge stemming from his initial arrest in September at a New Kingston hotel.

Legal woes for embattled Dancehall superstar, Adidja “Vybz Kartel” Palmer could mount following a shocking revelation that the popular deejay could face more murder charges.

Kartel currently resides in a Constant Spring jail, facing two murder charges that allegedly took place this past summer. One October 3, The self-professed “Worl’ Boss” was charged with murder, conspiracy to murder and illegal possession of a firearm in the shooting death of Barrington “Bossie” Burton, 27, a businessman/promoter from Gregory Park, St. Catherine. Three weeks later, Kartel was charged in the murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams, a dancer from Waterford, St. Catherine. Kartel’s Portmore Empire proteges, Shawn Storm and Andre “Mad Suss” St. John, his designer, Calvin “Moonie Haye as well as Cayro Jones were jointly charged in Williams’ murder.

On Thursday morning, reports surfaced that law enforcement officials are investigating Vybz Kartel in five other murder cases.

Police officers possibly facing corruption charges in Kartel murder case

The ongoing circus that is the trial of embattled Dancehall superstar, Adidja “Vybz Kartel” Palmer may have taken another turn; this time involving the police.

According to the Jamaica Observer, six police officers assigned to the Gun Court Remand Centre could be facing corruption charges after they were allegedly caught on video taking money from one of Vybz Kartel’s relatives. Kartel currently sits in a Kingston-based jail where he faces two murder charges and a drug-related charge, all issues within the last month and a half.

Now it’s being reported that investigators from the police Anti-Corruption Branch followed one of the six police officers from the Gun Court Remand Centre to the home of Kartel’s relative, where he videotaped the law enforcement official taking money from her. Allegedly, the video shows the officer accepting money from the relative of the popular deejay.

Additionally, reports revealed that the officer also accepted money from one of the suspects in Kartel’s murder trial in exchange for visitation rights. Subsequently, the suspect was not searched before being allowed into an area of the Constant Spring lock-up off limits to the public; spending a considerable amount of time with Kartel while law enforcement officials allowed the illegal meeting to take place.

As a result, the police officer, along with five other law enforcement officials were transferred from the Gun Court Remand Centre while Vybz Kartel has since been moved to the Horizon Adult Remand Centre on Spanish Town Road due to the alleged incident

The Portmore Empire deejay faces murder, conspiracy to murder and illegal possession of firearm charges in relation to the murder of Barrington “Bossie” Burton, a businessman/promoter from St. Catherine. Furthermore, Kartel, along with long-time protégé, Shawn Storm, designer, Calvin “Moonie” Haye and Cayro Jones were jointly charged with the murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams, a dancer from Waterford, St. Catherine .

All of the accused were remanded into police custody until December 2.

Gaza Slim robbed by man Kartel’s accused of killing?

In what can only be described as a bizarre circumstance, Portmore Empire singer, Gaza Slim, insists that she was recently robbed by a man her mentor, Vybz Kartel, stands accused of killing.

According to reports, the artiste otherwise known as Vanessa Bling issued a report to the St. Andrew North police that a man, claiming to be Clive Williams, robbed and pistol-whipped her while she walked along Coolshade Drive in Havendale, St. Andrew. Williams, otherwise called “Lizard,” is one of the men that embattled Dancehall deejay, Vybz Kartel, allegedly killed during an August incident in Havendale. Williams’s body hasn’t been found since.

In the report, Gaza Slim explained that on the night of October 29, she was jumped by the man; hitting her in the face with a gun and stealing her Blackberry cellphone.

Vybz Kartel changes legal representation

Embattled Dancehall superstar, Vybz Kartel will be seated beside a completely transformed defence team once he returns to court.

The internationally acclaimed artiste, currently in police custody with regards to two murder charges, reportedly sacked his star-studded legal team following his hearing on Thursday. The legal team consisted of prominent attorneys, Tom Tavares-Finson, Chris Tavares-Finson and Michael Deans, who also represents Kartel’s protege, Shawn Storm who was also charged in one of Kartel’s murder cases.

Kartel will now be represented by English-Jamaican lawyer, Hannah Harris-Barrington, who the deejay asked handle his cases going forward. Harris-Barrington revealed in an interview with IRIE FM on Monday that she was informed of Kartel’s decision to change attorneys; complying with the request of the deejay’s family to meet with the self-professed “Worl’ Boss” before her services were secured. Additionally, she revealed that at least two other attorneys-at-law will join their defence team.

Kartel was charged with murder, conspiracy to murder and illegal possession of a firearm on October 3 in relation to the July shooting death of Barrington “Bossie” Burton, 27, of a St. Catherine address. Additionally, the Portmore Empire leader was charged with another murder on October 24; standing accused of killing Clive “Lizard” Williams, a dancer from Waterford, St. Catherine. Kartel’s designer, Calvin “Moonie” Haye, entourage member, Cayro Jones and Portmore Empire singjay, Shawn Storm were also charged in Williams’s murder. Each of the men was remanded into custody until October 2.

Kartel has been denied bail on several occasions since his initial arrest on September 29 at a New Kingston hotel where a small quantity of marijuana was found.

Video evidence to force guilty pleas in Kartel murder case, prosecution claims

Investigators in a murder case against Dancehall superstar, Adidja “Vybz Kartel” Palmer are insistent that the deejay and other accused men will plead guilty after shocking revelations made in court yesterday.

Kartel, along with fellow Portmore Empire artiste, Shawn Storm, his designer/booking agent, Calvin “Moonie” Haye and Cayro Jones appeared simultaneously in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrates Court on Thursday. Each of the men was charged with murder in relation to the killing of Clive “Lizard” Williams in Havendale, St. Andrew this past August. Following claims by Kartel’s defense team that there was a lack of evidence, prosecutors fired back; claiming that they possessed video proof that the men were involved in the murder of Williams.

The video, captured via cellphone, allegedly shows Kartel and other men killing Williams, who was beaten and stabbed to death, according to police. The cellphone was later seized during the time of Kartel’s arrest along with other items. Additionally, prosecutors in the case intimated that they also have recorded telephone conversations and witness statements that implicate the four accused men in the crime. Given the evidence the prosecution team provided, they were adamant that it would force defence lawyers to advise their clients to plead guilty in the murder case.

Meanwhile, Kartel and his associated were remanded into police custody until December 2. On the other hand, “Di Teacha” faces a November 30 court date in relation to charges of murder, conspiracy to murder and illegal possession of a firearm stemming from the shooting death of Barrington “Bossie” Burton. In that case it’s alleged that Kartel and a group of men shot and killed the St. Catherine based promoter/businessman while standing with friends alongside Walker’s Lane in Gregory Park, St. Catherine this past July.

Shawn Storm charged for murder

Portmore Empire singjay, Shawn Campbell, otherwise known as Shawn Storm, has officially been charged in the murder case against his long-time mentor, Adidja “Vybz Kartel” Palmer.

Shawn Storm, in police custody since last week Tuesday, was pointed out during an identification parade on Monday at the Constant Spring Police Station in Kingston. Paul Thompson, a Constant Spring Police inspector, later revealed that the My Life singjay would know his fate by Thursday regarding whether or not he’d be charged in the killing.

Shawn Storm expected to be charged Thursday, police say

Portmore Empire singjay, Shawn Campbell, more popularly known as Shawn Storm, should know his fate by Thursday in relation to a murder case involving long-time mentor, Vybz Kartel.

The “Gaza” artiste has been held in police custody since last Tuesday as he faced questioning from law enforcement in relation to the murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams in Havendale, St. Andrew this past August. On Monday, Shawn Storm was pointed out in an identification parade at the Constant Spring Police station. The artiste has yet to be charged in the ongoing murder investigation.

However, Inspector Paul Thompson, from the Constant Spring Police, revealed during Vybz Kartel’s hearing on the matter on Monday, that Shawn Storm will be one of two men who should be charged by Thursday with regards to the murder.

Vybz Kartel and his booking agent handed Thursday court date in murder case

Internationally-acclaimed Dancehall superstar, Adidja “Vybz Kartel” Palmer will have to wait a few more days until he’s required to answer his most recent murder charge.

Kartel’s second murder case, regarding the killing of a St. Andrew man this past August, was stood down in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court  on Monday morning given that the co-accused in the case was not in attendance.

Presiding Resident Magistrate, Georgianna Fraser postponed the case until Kartel’s designer/booking agent, Calvin “Moonie” Haye was brought before the courts by law enforcement officials. Haye appeared in the courtroom shortly thereafter, but RM Fraser decided to put of the case until Thursday November 3.

Haye, 23, was charged with murder in relation to the killing of Clive “Lizard” Williams in Havendale, St. Andrew. According to reports, it’s alleged that Haye, along with Kartel and Kiro “Ray” Jones, killed Williams following a dispute over a missing, illegal firearm. Additionally, Kartel’s mentor and Portmore Empire singjay, Shawn Storm, could jointly be charged for murder with the case as well as several other persons.

Kartel is due in court later this week as he faces charges of murder, conspiracy to murder and illegal possession of a firearm in connection with the shooting death of Barrington “Bossie” Burton, a businessman/promoter from Gregory Park, St. Catherine. Vybz Kartel’s booking agent charged with murder

It seems that the world around controversial Dancehall artiste, Adidja “Vybz Kartel” Palmer continues to crumble as his booking agent also faces a murder charge.

Calvin “Moonie” Haye, designer and booking agent for Vybz Kartel, was jointly charged with murder in relation to the killing of Clive “Lizard” Williams in Havendale, St. Andrew this past August.  Haye was formally charged with murder following questioning by law enforcement in the presence of his attorney, Tom Tavares-Finson.

Haye was summoned by police earlier this week for questioning relating to Kartel’s case; granting an interview for TVJ’s Entertainment Report the night before he turned himself in to the Constant Spring Police. In the interview, Haye claimed that police barged into his home weeks earlier; startling him and his family before using excess force against him.

Shawn Storm to remain in jail over weekend, could be charged for murder

Portmore Empire singjay, Shawn Campbell, better known as Shawn Storm, will remain in a Kingston-based jail over the weekend in connection with an ongoing murder investigation in which he could soon be charged.

The My Life singer turned himself in to the Constant Spring Police on Tuesday, one week following his release from a Portmore jail after being named a person of interest. Shawn Storm’s attorney, Michael Deans, appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrates Court on Friday, hopeful that a bail application made on the “Gaza” artiste’s behalf would be successful.

However, Deans asked Senior Resident Magistrate, Judith Pusey, to produce an order; postponing the matter until Monday in order for a Constant Spring Police representative to update the court on Shawn Storm’s case. The order was subsequently granted.

News broke on Thursday that Shawn Storm could be charged in a murder case involving long-time mentor, Vybz Kartel. Last night, CVM News reported that sources close to the case confirmed that Shawn Storm will jointly be charged with the self-professed “Worl’ Boss” and Kiro “Ray” Jones in relation to the murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams in Havendale, St. Andrew this past August. Kartel is expected to face the Resident Magistrates Court on Monday to answer to that murder charge.

Meanwhile, Kartel’s road manager/designer, Calvin “Moonie” Haye was taken into police custody on Wednesday; also a part of the ongoing murder investigations.

Kartel could face third murder charge, similar fate for Shawn Storm?

As if things couldn’t possibly get any worse for embattled Dancehall superstar, Adidja “Vybz Kartel” Palmer, reports are suggesting that “Di Teacha,” already facing two murder charges, may be hit with a third.

According to social media news outlet, On the Ground News Reports, Kartel could cop a third murder charge as early as October 31st. If the reports are substantiated, this would mark the second time in a week that a murder charge is issued against the self-professed, “Worl’ Boss.” This past Monday, Kartel and another man were charged in relation to the killing of Clive “Lizard” Williams in Havendale, St. Andrew. He’s due in the Gun Court section of the Corporate Area Resident Magistrates Court in Kingston to answer his most recent charge.

Furthermore, one876entertainment.com and other news outlets reported earlier on Thursday that Kartel’s protégé and fellow Portmore Empire deejay, Shawn Storm, could also be charged with murder in connection with Kartel’s case.

Shawn Storm returns to jail

Portmore Empire singjay, Shawn Campbell, more popularly known as Shawn Storm, is back behind bars for the second time in just over a week.

The My Life singer is once again in police custody after being summoned by the Constant Spring Police on Tuesday. This comes just over a week after Shawn Storm turned himself in to police after being named a person of interest by Portmore Police. He was questioned by law enforcement officials and released two days later.

Shawn Storm immediately turned himself in to the police on this occasion, although, similar to his prior encounter with the law, reasoning regarding his visit to the Constant Spring Police station remains unclear.

Shawn Storm freed from jail

Portmore Empire artiste, Shawn Campbell, more popularly known as Shawn Storm is once again a free man following a four day stay behind bars.

The “My Life” singjay turned himself in to police on Monday after being named a person of interest by Portmore police. Though some speculated that Shawn Storm’s arrest was directly linked to the murder case against his long-time mentor, Vybz Kartel, no reasoning was offered by police regarding the nature of his arrest. He was transferred from a St. Catherine to the Constant Spring Police station earlier in the week.

Shawn Storm was freed after his lawyer, Michael Deans, filed a habeas corpus application in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court on Friday morning.

Shawn Storm held by police after being named a person of interest

The Portmore Empire once again faces more drama as Dancehall singjay, Shawn Campbell, more popularly known as Shawn Storm, is currently in police custody.

This news comes a week after Shawn’s mentor & Empire leader, Vybz Kartel was slapped with murder charges relating to the shooting death of St. Catherine based businessman/promoter, Barrington “Bossie” Burton. Additionally, it was rumored last Thursday that fellow Kartel protégé’, Popcaan was leaving the Gaza group after it was announced that the Shocking Vibes label would take bookings on his behalf.

Now, news has emerged that Shawn Storm has been taken in by law enforcement after being named as a person of interest.
