If this year’s staging of the highly-touted Youth View Awards sounded oddly familiar to the 2013 edition, it did as several winners from last year’s show defended their respective honors on a largely entertaining show.
The National Indoor Centre played host to a somewhat revamped edition of the show Saturday night, including the addition of 44 nominees to 22 of the show’s 24 categories. Performances were mostly lively throughout the night, with I-Octane’s in particular standing out, including a mixture of older and current hits in his set. Additionally, 17-year-old American singer, Zendaya was one of two special guests performing on the night, showcasing hits such as her breakout song, Replay, while another 17-year-old upstart, Samantha J performed her smash hit, Tight Up Skirt. But while performances were fresh and offered variety during the show, the awards results again followed trends set in past years.Click Here To Read More
