Emerging dancehall star and Head Concussion Records recording artiste, J Capri is in hospital and in need of blood after being involved in a serious car accident along Barbican Road in Kingston Sunday night.
According to multiple reports, the entertainer, whose real name is Jordan Joel Phillips, was driving her Mercedes Benz when she crashed at the foot of Jack’s Hill, with the car flipping over on impact. One website cited eyewitness accounts at the scene, saying the car was badly damaged and the singjay’s body was hanging out the car and persons at the scene having to haul her out the vehicle and get her medical attention.
J Capri was taken to a nearby hospital where she underwent surgery to treat serious injuries. Though doctors are optimistic about her recovery following the surgery, they insist she needs blood and there are fears of possible brain damage, according to the entertainer’s father.
It is reported that J Capri cracked her skull during the accident.
Fellow industry players, including members of the Head Concussion team and Stephen ‘Di Genius’ McGregor have sent out their best wishes and are asking the public to donate blood and pray for her at this time.
J Capri, who celebrates her 24th birthday on Christmas Eve (December 24) is known for hits such as Reverse It, Pull Up To Mi Bumpa (alongside Konshens) and Wine and Kotch.
