Dancehall superstar, Elephant Man will me made to wait even longer to stand trial in his ongoing rape case after the matter was postponed on Monday during a hearing at the Home Circuit Court in Kingston.
The matter was pushed back until March 2015 after the case could not be heard due to a backlog of cases currently before the court.
The deejay, whose real name is O’Neil Bryan stands accused of rape and grievous sexual assault after an alleged incident at his St. Andrew apartment building in January 2012. The ‘Energy God’ was arrested by detectives from the Centre for Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) shortly after the female victim reportedly filed a police report.
The trial has been postponed several times since it was initially heard in February of that year
