2015 was filled with many successes for Tabeta, she released songs like Memory Lane and No Substitute. With their growing popularity these hot singles have brought on many new opportunities. Throughout December she was invited to perform at several private events, fundraisers, and to top it off she performed at the renowned Jamaican stage show, Sting, which she says was worth her while despite a few issues.
“Sting was a bittersweet experience for me this year because I have reasons to believe they tampered with our set, which I will not elaborate on,” she said. However the audience and whoever could actually hear what we had to bring to the table loved it and that was our number one aim. I wish the rest of the world could experience it but maybe next time.”
Tabeta was not the only one to recognize the mishap,
“Unfortunately, Tabeta and Abby Dallas were affected by sound issues at several points in what would have turned out to be a strong joint showing,”
An excerpt which was taken out of an article printed last Monday in the Jamaica Gleaner.
The artist putting that aside, remains positive as she elaborated on what we can expect from her in the coming months.
“I am taking on new projects for the New Year stepping a bit out of my comfort zone, working with some new producers, new sounds etc. Presently I’m in studio working on my first official E.P. So as always, I’ll bring it. 2016 delivered already.”
