Dancehall artist, Toya Bogdanovich, the wife of Downsound Records CEO, Joe Bogdanovich has died following complications from diabetes.
The entertainer, whose real name was Latoya Alicia Jackson, died in a New York hospital Wednesday night while undergoing treatment. She was survived by Joe and a young son she had with the American-born businessman.
Bogdanovich was reportedly in Florida for a show he was putting on involving Downsound artist, Ishawna and Dexta Daps when he got the news pf his wife’s passing and is said to be completely devastated.
News of Toya’s health had surfaced as early as 2013 as she became virtually invisible from the music scene, with reports suggesting she lost her vision while undergoing treatment. Her death comes a month after moving to New York for treatment.
She is known for the well-received 2010 single, Hot Like a Fire.
