Dancehall veteran, Merciless is distraught and struggling to come to terms with the shocking news he received on Good Friday that his wife has died of an apparent suicide.
Reports are that around 11 a.m. Friday morning, a neighbour discovered the body of Merciless’ wife on the floor at her Clarendon home, with pills nearby. Police were called to the scene immediately and his wife was taken to hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
No foul plays is being suspected at this time as investigators believe she may have committed suicide by ingesting the pills.
Merciless is said to be devastated and saddened by the news and has yet to respond to press requests for comment.
Merciless, whose real name is Leonard Bartley, is known for singles such as Mavis and Lend Out Mi Mercy as well as his long-time feud with legendary dancehall act, Bounty Killer.
